Staffing Solutions

In order to support the expansion of Members’ hearing care practices, AG helps Members attract, develop, and retain high-quality professionals through its profile-driven Active Recruitment Program™ (ARP).  The goals of the ARP are to (1) expand the talent pool available to our Members and (2) increase its flexibility and productivity.  This means not only building a professional workforce that can step into today’s hearing care roles, but also reconfiguring those roles (and the work itself) to make staff as effective and efficient as possible.  Management has four strategies for accomplishing these long-term goals:

  • Creating partnerships with educational institutions to expand internship, cooperative education and school-to-work opportunities;
  • Building and managing a corps of mobile professionals who may be employed by Members for periods of one month to two years as “surge capacity” to support practice expansion;
  • Cross-training staff on AG’s shared processes and systems to increase the portability of their skills; and
  • Encouraging development of “para-professional” and specialist staffing roles that will give Members better ability to leverage scarce talent.
